Entry for The Outlawz - Creative Freebie Challenge Dec. 4 - 17

Here is my entry for The Outlawz Creative Freebie Challenge for December 4th thru December 17th.

The Challenge rules are to use one or both of the two digi's sent to us; using any kind of project and any medium we want.    

I made a card using the mail box digi and I really wanted to make the colors match the yarn that my dear friend sent to me.    Hope you like my card.

I used Inkssentials Enamel Accents in white to bring out the snow on top of the fence and  sign.  

I used it also on the mountain tops and mail box but only a line of it. 

(that part didn't come out quite like I wanted it to though.)

Scrappy Bits n' Bites

This was from a quick trip to Michael's back on 10/28/11.  I was just looking at my blog and getting ready to schedule some more posts and I realized this was in my 'DRAFTS'.

So here is what I bought on my quick trip to Michael's.


































Since this trip to Michael's I have used the clothespins to organize my twine.  You can see how I used them along with an altered container in my post on Creative Scrapbooking Divas ~HERE~. 

I will share more 'Scrappy Bits n' Bites' as I aquire more goodies.  (which I obviously have since 10/28....so expect to see more posts soon!)

Now that all the business is out of the way...........Let's get to the project I have prepared for this blog hop for Day 6!

Here is my project.


For my last project on the blog hop, I made a Wreath.

Here is the final project.  It is now hanging on my front door.

I used SCAL and cut out a big 'donut' circle.  I used white poster paint around the edges to make it look like snow.  I then cut out branches using my Cricut and SCAL using SVGCuts '3D Wintergreens' set.  I added some white poster paint to those as well to make it look like more snow.

Using the same '3D Wintergreen' set, I cut out quite a few holly's and poinsettia's.  I used the white poster paint on EVERYTHING (except the candle) so I won't keep repeating myself.  But after I used the poster paint and it all dried, I put the flowers together and adhered them all with glue and pop dots.

Here is the holly close up.

The candle was a freebie from SVG Cuts.  I placed it at the bottom of the Wreath.

Here I had added green stickles to the center of the poinsettia and also to the holly berries.

I also traced the flame with orange stickles.  and shaded the candle with a dark yellowish orange ink to give it dimension.  I inked the candle plate with silver ink.

This isn't a very good picture, but there it is on my door.  I really had fun making this.

Here is my project.


I made a few pillow boxes so that I can insert gift cards in.

I cut out the pillow boxes using a svg file from Lettering Delights ~ Pillow Boxes Set.  The cardstock is from Reflections ~Sugar plums.  (I loved the metallic on this cardstock, but it was a bit difficult to photograph...because it reflected my flash.)

The 'Joy' stamp is from The Stamps of Life ~Penguins4Christmas stamp set and the 'Ornament' stamp was from their Holly4Christmas stamp set.   I used Stampin' Up! inks in real red and old olive.  The ribbon was some extra that I had on hand and I tied the ornament to the ribbon using The Twinery twine in maraschino.

Now that all the business is out of the way...........Let's get to the project I have prepared for this blog hop for Day 2!

Here is my project.

I used the digi stamp from our Sponsor, Delicious Doodles, Poinsettia Corner.   This is my first time using a digi stamp/image and I can see how digi stamps/images can become addicting!   Delicious Doodles has some pretty great images too!

I colored the poinsettia corner using my copic markers.  On this image, I used: E25, YG67, YG17, Y19, R29, R59 and C0.

I then used stickles for the center of the poinsettia and also for the berries to give it some sparkle.

I stamped this card using the sentiment from The Stamps of Life, Christmas4Him stamp set.

Here is the completed card.
