CSD's Challenge: Black, White & Read All Over

Here is my entry for the Creative Scrapbooking Diva's "Black, White & Read All Over" Challenge.
These are the rules:
  • MUST use colors black, white, & red only, with red only being about 20% of the layout.
  • Option A: Do a newspaper type theme...write your journaling like a paper article, use the comic strip format, (like I did) or make your page a newspaper ad.
  • Option B: Use a pattern paper with a newspaper print or feel to it. Not a letter, but dictionary pages are ok.
It says 'layout' but I haven't really been doing layouts these days.  I still have a lot of pictures from our trip to Israel that I have to get working on again.  So instead, I chose to do a card.    Not sure if this will be accepted in the challenge but I enjoyed working on this card.

The 'Extra Extra' reminded me of "Extra Extra!!  Read All About It!!"

Since the color red should only be 20% of it. I used a dotted heart stamp in the front and inked around the black and white paper very lightly.

I put a red heart on the inside of the card with the word "love" in black and still keeping with the black, white and red theme.

EXTRA EXTRA LOVE!!  ;)

Card Recipe:
Paper/Cardstock:  White cardstock for card; Black cardstock for matting and the Wedding Words paper from Recollections was a single sheet of 12 x 12 paper I purchased just for this challenge.
Stamp: SU I {Heart} Hearts stamp set
Ink: SU Ruby red ink
Cricut and SCAL to cut out the heart and words.

Hope you like my card!

Happy Crafting!!
